Welcome, we’re delighted that you checked out our new website.  I think you’ll find that we’ve attempted to answer any questions you might have about our congregation.  If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call or an email

I think the best way to describe our family of believers is love.  First is our love for our savior, Jesus Christ, who loved us first when he willingly died on Calvary’s Cross for the forgiveness of sins, opening the door of heaven to all believers.  Secondly is our love for our fellow members, praying for them in times of need and assisting each other any way we can.  Thirdly is the love we have for the less fortunate in our community as demonstrated in our Food Pantry Ministry and our Worship at the Cross services for the developmentally handicapped.  Lastly, our love is also displayed in our financial support of the Apache children in our East Fork Lutheran Elementary School in Whiteriver, AZ.  Our support is used for tuition assistance which enables many children to attend our school and learn about Jesus.

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongues but with actions and in truth.”  1 John 3: 16-19 NIV 1984

"Hi my name is Paul and I'm originally from Neenah, WI. Since January 2014, I have been serving Divine Savior and my family and I are loving living in Shawano. My wife Danielle and I share a love of music and a desire to help people better understand God's forgiveness, love and peace. I also find a lot of enjoyment in long distance running, so if you happen to see me running around town, feel free to wave and say hello!" - Pastor Paul Kuehn

Greetings! I am Don Frisque, a retired school social worker. Currently, I serve as the Financial Secretary and a member of the Church Council. My wife and I together with our daughter and son came to Shawano in 1973. Our daughter is now in Florida, and our son is in Milwaukee. We have seven grandchildren ranging in age from second grade to third year in college. Joyce was a primary grades teacher at Divine Savior School for many years. We both retired in 2004 and enjoy doing volunteer work especially with the Divine Savior Food Pantry, were Joyce is one of four coordinators. I work behind the scenes exept for when Joyce and I lead Bread of Life Bible study groups prior to the opening of the Food Pantry on Thursday afternoons.
